Alongside the other content type settings, you can extend your content editing with content type custom fields.

These are fields that are set against a specific content type, they will be shown on all content that uses the content type,  no matter the template used.

This allows you to add any of the fields that you can add to a normal template to a content type.

This allows you to create more expansive experiences, without having to add those fields to every possible template schema that could be used against your content type.
